Event will take place online and in-person on June 13 – 14
The Circle of Indigenous Nations Society (COINS) and the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute (KATI) are joining together to host a free, two-day symposium dedicated to exploring the interplay between hope and environmental justice.
The organizations are extending a special invitation to youth (under 30) and Indigenous participants, but everyone is welcome to attend the event on June 13 – 14.
Healing the Land, Healing the Heart: A Symposium on Eco-Justice & Hope will take place in a hybrid format with online sessions the first day and in-person sessions the second day in Castlegar.
“Our aim is to foster a nurturing environment where participants can uncover and share their responses to the climate crisis through an anti-racist perspective and a deep commitment to care,” says the event’s organizers. “We aspire to cultivate thoughtful, deliberate discussions, enriched by the creative process of art-making.”
