First Aboriginal Business Match in Saskatchewan
The first Aboriginal Business Match (ABM) in Saskatchewan is bringing together aboriginal communities and the private sector in Saskatoon.
The ABM show will house seminars and information sectors at TCU Place connecting 65 companies, 25 per cent which are aboriginal, with the province’s aboriginal communities .
“This actually is setting the stage to have all the decision makers in the room, all under one roof,” Monica Brunet, director of the Métis Economic Development Sector at the Clarence Campeau Development Fund (CCDF), explained.
“Start the communication, start talking between each other to see if there is a synergy or a fit to see if they can partner.”
The CCDF works with the province’s Métis entrepreneurs to start up or expand their businesses.
