Anishinabek Nation to host 2nd Annual Anishinabek Nation Economic Development Opportunities Forum

ANISHINABEK NATION HEAD OFFICE (October 18, 2024)— The Anishinabek Nation welcomes member First Nations citizens and representatives, industry leaders, and government officials to the 2nd Annual Anishinabek Nation Economic Development Opportunities Forum. The event will focus on Economic Reconciliation for Sustainable Development, fostering economic growth, sustainability, and opportunities for the Anishinabek Nation communities. The Forum will feature panels, workshops, and networking opportunities on key topics, including resource development, business growth, and innovation.

Keynote presentations will be delivered by John Beaucage, a respected First Nation leader and former Anishinabek Nation Grand Council Chief, and Gary “Litefoot” Davis, an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and a pioneering force in the Indigenous community with a distinguished career in arts, entertainment, and business leadership.

The Anishinabek Nation is a political advocate for 39 member First Nations across Ontario, representing approximately 65,000 citizens. The Anishinabek Nation is the oldest political organization in Ontario and can trace its roots back to the Confederacy of Three Fires, which existed long before European contact.
