ArriveCAN back on the agenda as public accounts committee kicks off new round of mid-recess hearings – iPolitics

The House of Commons may be on hiatus for the next two weeks, but PUBLIC ACCOUNTS members will soon be back on the clock as they get ready to spend the next three days digging through the fine print of Auditor General Karen Hogan’s scathing post mortem report on the development and rollout of the ArriveCAN COVID screening app, starting with back-to-back testimony from Customs and Immigration Union president Mark Weber and Association of Canadian Financial Officers president Dany Richard this afternoon. (3 p.m.)

Elsewhere in the precinct, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is booked in for a mid-afternoon one-on-one chat with visiting Ecuadorian president Daniel Noboa (2:30 p.m.), as well a closed-door meeting with Assembly of First Nations National Chief Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak. (4 p.m.)
