At committee: Canada-China relations, broadcasting overhaul and spring estimates review – iPolitics

In addition to the potentially politically-charged sessions at ETHICS and NATIONAL DEFENCE previewed in iPolitics AM, the spring estimates circuit is well underway, with Natural Resources Minister Seamus O’Regan set to appear at NATURAL RESOURCES. (11 AM – 1 PM).

Later this afternoon, INDIGENOUS AND NORTHERN AFFAIRS will hold back-to-back briefing sessions with Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Carolyn Bennett and Northern Affairs Minister Dan Vandal, who will testify for one hour before giving the floor to Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller.(6:30 – 8:30 PM)

  • The SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON CANADA-CHINA RELATIONS continues to examine the “national security dimension of the Canada-China relationship, including, but not exclusively, the impact on Canada’s response to the pandemic.” Expert testimony is expected from Public Health Agency of Canada president Iain Stewart, Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy senior research associate Christopher Parsons, and NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence director Janis Sarts. (6:30 – 8:30 PM)
