Behchokǫ̀ government rejects highway gas station proposal – Cabin Radio

The community government of Behchokǫ̀ has made a decision on a gas station project that two residents proposed more than a year ago.
Chris Zoe and Dave Wilson say they spent months convincing leaders and residents to support their application to build what they call the Nàhgą Travel Centre at the Behchokǫ̀ junction along Highway 3.
According to Zoe, five town councillors voted against the application during a meeting on Tuesday evening, while two people abstained.
Chief Clifford Daniels confirmed the application had been rejected but said he could not comment further until the applicants had been given a formal letter regarding the decision.
