Press Release
Regina, SK – Carbon RX Corp. (“CRX”) is proud to announce its membership in the Terrestrial Storage of Biomass (“TSB”) Coalition, a global initiative dedicated to scaling the responsible use of terrestrial biomass storage as a viable carbon removal mechanism.
The TSB Coalition brings together leading scientists, project developers, and policymakers to establish best practices, drive innovation, and build the credibility of biomass storage as a verifiable form of carbon removal. By joining this collaborative group, CRX is deepening its commitment to nature-based solutions that deliver measurable climate impact.
As part of this work, CRX is developing a Canadian terrestrial biomass storage project. The project will involve excavating lined pits, placing excess forest biomass that poses forest fire risk, and sealing the system to lock carbon away from the atmosphere ultimately reducing CO2 emissions. The storage sites will be equipped with sensors to monitor decomposition rates and environmental conditions over time, ensuring transparency and permanence.
“We’re excited to contribute to the growth of this new sector,” said Marty Seymour, President and CEO of CRX. “Biomass storage fills a critical gap in the carbon removal space — it’s practical, it’s scalable, relies on high tech monitoring and it aligns with our commitment to forest health and rural economic opportunity. Joining the Coalition allows us to collaborate with others leading the charge; while reinforcing the scientific credibility of the projects we bring to market.”
By participating in the Coalition, CRX will help shape new protocols, contribute to advancement of measurement and reporting technology, as well as promote strong governance in the emerging biomass storage space.
CRX believes that advancing real, measurable climate solutions starts with partnership — and the TSB Coalition represents a shared commitment to doing this work with integrity.
