INTRODUCTION
This moment marks an exciting opportunity for CBC and APTN to work together to support project and talent development given the creation of a new MOU between the two broadcasters. The expanded mandate of the ISO provides an opportunity to support program design, outreach and engagement.
This program will create an opportunity for an Indigenous project and professional development for creators with projects still in the pre-development phase. This would allow CBC and APTN executives to work closely with the producers and/or writers to provide a unique opportunity for the project to move into the development and the production phase.
This pilot program will offer opportunities to emerging television creators to access CBC and APTN executives and custom tailored support for each project with the aim of getting their project to the next stage of development, and ultimately into production.
Note: Intellectual Property Rights will be retained by creator in the pre-developement stage, if a project is selected to move forward to development stage, rights will be negotiated with broadcaster(s).
