OTTAWA — Every June in Canada is National Indigenous History Month, a time to learn about the cultures, traditions and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people.
“It’s a time to honour the stories, achievements and resilience of Indigenous peoples, who have lived on this land since time immemorial and whose presence continues to impact the evolving Canada,” states the federal government.
That impact is being felt in the world of construction as more and more Indigenous firms and projects take shape across the country.
What’s more, Indigenous involvement and consultation is being sought out more than ever, with the expertise helping to form lasting relationships and memorable builds.
