City moves to hire Indigenous policy advisor – Soo Today

It would pay $84,692 to $100,834 a year

If city councillors agree on Monday, the City of Sault Ste. Marie will create a new position for an Indigenous policy and process renewal advisor.

“The position will carry on the history and tradition of sharing knowledge of the area, as has been the tradition since the time of first contact,” says Tom Vair, the city’s chief administrative officer.
