PORT HAWKESBURY, N.S. — EverWind Fuels has announced it has received $22.5 million in funding through Transport Canada’s Green Shipping Corridor Fund to support marine and shore-side infrastructure development at EverWind’s Point Tupper Terminal in Nova Scotia.
The project will boost EverWind’s efforts to create a hub for green hydrogen and ammonia production and transportation at Point Tupper, stated a release.
The work will involve upgrading existing marine terminal infrastructure for green fuel handling, the installation of a green ammonia loading arm, and development of green ammonia supply pipelines.
The investment will accelerate the green hydrogen and green ammonia project and boost the Strait of Canso region’s profile along the Atlantic, stated EverWind.
