FREDERICTON – Members of the Executive Council were announced today ahead of Saturday’s swearing-in at the legislative assembly in Fredericton.
“Our team is ready to get to work,” said premier-designate Susan Holt. “There is a lot of hard work ahead as we strive to make meaningful change for New Brunswickers so they can access the services they need, especially in health care, housing and education.”
Saturday’s swearing-in for the premier and ministers will be presided over by Lt.-Gov. Brenda Murphy and witnessed by members of the legislature, dignitaries and guests.

In addition to naming her cabinet, Holt also announced her team’s support for the following MLAs to lead in the legislature: Francine Landry as the first francophone woman speaker of the legislative assembly and Guy Arseneault and Benoît Bourque as deputy speakers. Marco LeBlanc will be appointed as government house leader and Jacques LeBlanc as government whip.
“This diverse mix of experienced and new legislators make up an extremely strong caucus and cabinet ready to serve New Brunswickers, focused on better health care, affordability and good government,” said Holt.
