More than 1,000 representatives from some 200 First Nations and organizations are in Victoria today for meetings with BC Cabinet members.
Yesterday marked the opening of the seventh BC Cabinet and First Nations Leaders Gathering, and the first since the beginning of the pandemic.
Between yesterday and today, delegates will join in on more than 800 meetings regarding everything from housing, to resource development, to health care.
But chief among the topics being discussed is the further implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
