Quote(s)

“Being transparent and open as a government is not only ethical governance but helps produce better policy and programs by empowering individuals and groups to more easily contribute innovative ideas, solutions, and expertise. Residents have the right to know and understand what their government does, and our government is committed to becoming as progressive, transparent, accountable, and accessible as possible; ultimately resulting in better service and support for the residents we serve. The Open Data Portal supports this commitment by providing a single, convenient point of access for scientific, statistical, and other data.”

-Caroline Cochrane, Premier of the Northwest Territories
