Just hours before Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland is slated to deliver her much-delayed fall fiscal update, another high-profile front bencher is set to announce that he’s ready to give up both his spot at the cabinet table and, ultimately, his seat in the House of Commons.
As iPolitics reported last night, multiple media outlets are now predicting that Housing Minister Sean Fraser is set to announce that he won’t be on the ballot in his Nova Scotia riding when the writs drop for the next general election, and is “expected to leave cabinet after the next shuffle,” according to Liberal sources.
