KENORA – POLITICS – The Indigenous and Northern Affairs (INAN) Committee focused on Indigenous health and business issues this week.
Kenora riding MP Eric Melillo took the opportunity to question Tabatha Bull from the Canadian Council of Aboriginal Business about how Indigenous businesses have been adapting to the challenges of COVID-19.
Noting that the pandemic has forced many businesses to switch to e-commerce and online sales, Melillo asked how businesses in regions with limited Internet have been managing this transition. “In many Northern and rural regions, access to internet is a very big issue – it really doesn’t exist for many people across my riding,” he said.
