Manitobah, an Indigenous footwear store, will have a big increase in its retail footprint this Fall with the opening of several pop up locations.
The company, founded by Sean McCormick in 1997, is well known in providing Indigenous mukluks and moccasins and has become one of the fastest growing companies in Canada.
“We are solely focused on driving positive impact to Indigenous communities and we do that via generating funds through several different avenues. One is the sale of Manitobah branded products where we push those dollars back to the community, we focus on hiring Indigenous individuals. The artisans that design the product are all using either Indigenous trained design or are Indigenous artists themselves, said Mike Wodtke, Chief Marketing Officer of Manitobah.
