Indigenous procurement policies back in the spotlight at two House committees – iPolitics

What’s on the agenda for the House and Senate committees today.

Amid a steady stream of increasingly pointed questions — and criticism — over the government’s policy on Indigenous procurement, INDIGENEOUS AND NORTHERN AFFAIRS members are booked in for an extended morning session that, according to the notice, will include back-to-back presentations from Indigenous and First Nations leaders, as well as legal experts, including Mi’kmaw lawyer Pamela Palmater, Leah Ballantyne, Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami president Natan Obed, University of Ottawa associate professor Darryl Leroux, Ghost Warrior Society Leader Crystal Semaganis and the Manitoba Métis Federation, among others.
