A Saugeen First Nation businessman believes he can save taxpayers money and offered a new procurement opportunity for Town purchasing staff to consider.
A sure way to be considered for Town business is to offer the best deal to save taxpayers the most money.
A Saugeen First Nation businessman believes he can do just that, and has offered a new procurement opportunity for Town purchasing staff to consider.
A key to Truth and Reconciliation is economic reconciliation according to Saugeen First Nation entrepreneur Steven Vanloffeld who got a warm welcome when he pitched his online distributor business of office, janitorial, and industrial supplies to a July 10 meeting of Saugeen Shores councillors.
Vanloffeld said he set up eSUPPLY Canada Ltd., in 2019 – three weeks into the pandemic – to give Indigenous communities and businesses a community-centred option to buy needed supplies.
He said eSUPPLY provides a community-based Indigenous alternative to big-box retailers, offering online ordering and direct delivery.
