Infrastructure Planning Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Provide planning support on all aspects of infrastructure planning, including leading special project assignments
  • Assist in the implementation of future Infrastructure Strategic plan to support growth management and the prioritization of infrastructure investments in Nunatsiavut
  • Manage ongoing projects and new project development; including contributing to new project development, drafting grant proposals, engaging with partners and funders, working with sub-contracts and consultants, and ensuring the timely completion of deliverables
  • Gather and write reports, issue briefs, case studies, guides, tools, and memoranda on program and policy issues and best practices of relevance to NG management;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and consulting teams
  • Work across departments and with various stakeholders to achieve planning and development, goals
  • Coordinate and/or represent the Division and Regional interests on steering committees, technical advisory committees and working groups
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Infrastructure and Planning
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning with 5 years of related experience. Combination of relevant education and/or experience will be considered
  • Organized and collaborative mindset with abilities to provide timely solutions and proactive problem solving
  • Experience or openness to working in a multi-departmental environment where most of the work is collaborative and integrated
  • Project management experience required
  • Strong strategic planning and communication skills
