For a second day in a row, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to face his cross-aisle adversaries in the House of Commons this afternoon, although, given the upcoming Easter hiatus, it could be his last in-person appearance in the chamber this month.
Before making his way to the precinct, he’ll join his Liberal colleagues for their weekly virtual huddle later this morning. (10 AM)
Also meeting with his caucus via video conference today: New Democrat Leader Jagmeet Singh, who, as per his office, will make himself available to reporters after the closed-door session wraps up. (1 PM)
Meanwhile, Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller is slated to deliver one of his regularly-scheduled updates on COVID-19 in Indigenous and First Nations communities, although it’s worth noting that, in addition to the usual contingent of senior departmental and public health officials, he’ll also be joined by one of his front bench colleagues: Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan, who will likely provide more details on how the Canadian Armed Forces is supporting vaccination efforts in remote communities. (12 PM)
