LNG Canada – Community Notification: Flaring Increasing

A new flaring activity is anticipated to occur between February 9th and 17th, during which time the flare height will intermittently increase to approximately 50 meters. The flaring activity is expected to last between 30 minutes to four hours daily during this period as part of our safe start-up commissioning activities. Community members may also notice increased noise and visible emissions associated with the flare.

As LNG Canada continues its safe start-up activities, the size of our flare will regularly increase and decrease. This is a normal part of the commissioning process as we advance towards delivering Canada’s first LNG export facility.
