Mayor calls out lack of Indigenous consultation as Green Gate proposal approved – Cambridgetoday.ca

Council members have backed a new stacked townhouse proposal for Green Gate Blvd., while the mayor voiced concern that Six Nations were not consulted during planning

A 184-unit townhouse development in southeast Galt was approved by council. However, the mayor cited a lack of Indigenous consultation as her reason for not supporting the project.

Council approved an application to build nine stacked townhouse buildings at 387 Green Gate Blvd. within the developing area around Moffat Creek in the southeast edge of the city.

Dave Aston, consultant with MHBC Planning, explained the plan had been adjusted slightly since the public meeting.
