MLT Aikins lawyer Meaghan Conroy is co-chairing the 16th Annual Conference on Western Indigenous Consultation & Engagement. The conference takes place on February 21-22, 2024 at the Matrix Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta.
Delegates can join the Canadian Institute to delve into the challenges and opportunities impacting the Indigenous consultation and engagement landscape in Western Canada. Speakers will address key issues faced by consultation professionals. The conference will also serve as a platform to foster connections between Indigenous leaders, industry experts and government officials.
Meaghan’s conference co-chair is Shaleigh Raine of Louis Bull Tribe in Maskwacis, Alberta. Speakers will include Desmond Bull (Chief of Louis Bull Tribe), Raymond Powder (Chief of Fort McKay First Nation), Brian MacDonald (Government of Yukon), Dale Swampy (National Coalition of Chiefs) and Marcel Pelletier (AECOM).
