— Carbon tax ruling: The Supreme Court of Canada will release its ruling today on whether the Liberal government’s carbon tax regime is constitutional. It will determine whether Ottawa has the constitutional authority to decide on the issue, which many provinces have opposed.
— Kady O’Malley writes in iPolitics AM that, “as previewed by iPolitics yesterday, the Conservatives are set to devote the last opposition day of the current supply cycle to a motion to have the House invoke its ancient right to order witnesses to testify before committee.”
— PHAC report due today: Canada’s auditor general will deliver a report today on whether or not the Public Health Agency of Canada was prepared to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic — and whether it was receiving timely intelligence on the virus’ spread. As CBC News reports, the intelligence community is hoping it will spur reform.
