First Nations Power Authority (FNPA) is recruiting a Nation Energy Manger to support energy transition for the White Bear First Nations. Directly reporting to the Chief and Council, the Nation Energy Manager will be responsible for providing administrative and logistical leadership in executing a multi-year capacity building project specific to the nuclear energy transition in Saskatchewan. The Nation Energy Manager will be responsible for reviewing, writing, communicating and submitting precise work plans and reports based on quarterly and annual progress in the capacity-building project.
ServeasaliaisonbetweentheChiefandCouncil, the Nation’s Clean Energy Advisory Committee and Technical Working Group, First Nations Power Authority,SaskPowerand otherprovincialandfederalgovernmentagencies.
Coordinateandfacilitateprofessionalmeetings.
Coordinateandfacilitatecommunityevents.
Assist with the development of engagement tools and materials, such as surveys, presentations,andinfographics.
Build a foundation of knowledge in the community relating to Saskatchewan’s electricitysector.
Coordinate and facilitate travel for site visits and meetings in Saskatchewan, across Canada,andinternationally.
Be engaged in education and professional development opportunities related to electricity, nuclear power, project management and community engagement.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Anequivalentcombinationof6+yearsofeducationandexperiencewithinthe environmental, Indigenous Relations, business development, business administration, electricityand/ornuclearpowersectors.
Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable, and Child Abuse Checks.
