Today, the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Indigenous Services and Minister responsible for FedNor, announced a FedNor investment of $745,000 to enable the City of Temiskaming Shores to establish the Northern Ontario Mining Showcase (NOMS) pavilion at the 2023 Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention.
Spanning an impressive 13,200 square feet and featuring a jam-packed roster of 110 mining supply and services exhibitors from across Northern Ontario, the FedNor-funded pavilion will be one of the biggest attractions at PDAC 2023. Led by the City of Temiskaming Shores, NOMS provides a unique opportunity for exhibitors to showcase Northern Ontario innovation, including some of the latest in mining equipment, tools, products, services, and clean-tech. In 2023 alone, NOMS is expected to help participating businesses increase sales and exports by more than $10 million, while creating 75 high-quality jobs in Northern Ontario and maintaining 100 more.
Taking place in Toronto from March 5-8, 2023, PDAC is the World’s Premier Mineral Exploration & Mining Convention and the leading event for people, companies and organizations connected to mineral exploration. This annual convention is known for attracting up to 25,000 attendees from over 130+ countries for its educational programming, networking events and outstanding business opportunities. Since it began in 1932, the PDAC Convention has grown in size, stature and influence. Today, it is the event of choice for the world’s mineral industry hosting more than 1,100 exhibitors and 2,500 investors.
