Ottawa announces $ 1.8 million for Indigenous entrepreneurship in Quebec – Inspired Traveler

These investments will support local projects such as the rebuilding of the Widjikiwe Holdings Corp. gas station and convenience store. in Timiskaming and the start of Akua Nature Inc., a Mashteuiatsh company that specializes in the manufacture of traditional medicinal products.

Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller made the announcement Tuesday on behalf of Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages.

According to Minister Miller, these investments are “golden opportunities to promote communities” as well as indigenous know-how, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
