2014 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada will be holding its Annual General Meeting in Ottawa, Ontario, from March 11-13, 2014. The Board of Directors will be reporting on activities conducted during the 2012/13 fiscal year. The meeting is open to the public, and will be held at the Southway Hotel and Conference Centre.

In addition to regular business, elections will be held for the position of Regional Directors for the Western Arctic, Nunavik (Hudson), Nunavik (Ungava) regions, as well as the cities of Yellowknife and Iqaluit. Two urban directors will be elected to represent Edmonton, Alberta and Montreal, Quebec as well as one youth representative.

Any Inuk woman of legal age can nominate or be nominated for a position on the Pauktuutit Board of Directors. Nomination forms are available from local hamlet offices, on the Pauktuutit website at www.pauktuutit.ca, or by calling 1-800-667-0749. The deadline for early nominations to be received at the Pauktuutit office is 5:00 PM (EST) Friday, February 28, 2014. Nominations will then be accepted at the Annual General Meeting.
