QEC reminds customers to apply for new or upgraded service connections by April 30

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to remind Nunavummiut to submit their Electrical Service Applications for new or upgraded services by April 30, 2023, in order to prevent delays in providing service connections.

QEC requires notification well in advance of when a service connection is required for planning purposes and ordering supplies. New connections may involve the installation of new power poles when weather is warmer and the ground is thawed. For larger projects requiring sealifted equipment, customers are asked to submit their applications to QEC one year in advance of the estimated connection date.
