Premier Smith and her cabinet joined a distinguished assembly of Treaty Six First Nations chiefs, marking a pivotal moment in government-to-government relationships. The meeting marked the first time Alberta’s cabinet has joined a meeting with all Treaty Six First Nations leadership.
During the meeting, Alberta’s government and the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations reaffirmed their commitment to collaborate in the spirit of respect and partnership. They discussed the priority areas of health care, procurement, economic advancements and utility corridors.
