What’s on the agenda for the House and Senate committees today.
With just over a week to go until the sitting wraps up, just three House committees are scheduled to meet in public today, starting with GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS AND ESTIMATES, where MPs will circle back to their ongoing review of federal regulatory modernization initiatives during a panel discussion with representatives of the Business Council of British Columbia and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. (4:30 p.m.)
Over at INDIGENEOUS AND NORTHERN AFFAIRS, senior officials from Indigenous Services and Justice will provide an overview of the government’s proposal to work with First Nations governments and communities to ensure clean drinking water. (4:30 p.m.)
Rounding out the circuit, FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND INTERNATIONAL TRADE members will hold a roundtable discussion on the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, as well as the overall “situation in Iran,” with representatives of United Against Nuclear Iran, Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights, Washington Institute senior fellow Farzin Nadimi and Carleton University professor Fen Osler Hampson. (4:30 p.m.)
