What’s on the agenda for the House and Senate committees today.
A little over a week after former Conservative cabinet minister Chris Alexander publicly accused veteran Ottawa journalist David Pugliese of being a“Russian agent,” PUBLIC SAFETY AND NATIONAL SECURITY members will hear from Pugliese himself, who will get the chance to defend himself against the allegations during a follow-up session, with Canadian Association of Journalists president Brent Jolly also expected to be at the table. (3:30 p.m.)
Earlier in the day, GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS AND ESTIMATES members will question a panel of current and former senior Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development officials as part of their ongoing self-initiated investigation into the decision to relocate the official residence of Canada’s consul general in New York City. (11 a.m.)
