SaskTel expands 5G coverage to rural and indigenous communities in Canada – DCD

SaskTel has expanded its 5G coverage to more than 50 cell sites in Saskatchewan, Canada.

In an announcement, SaskTel revealed the coverage boost has been deployed to rural and indigenous communities, and several highway corridors in the province.

SaskTel, which serves more than 1.4 million customers across Saskatchewan, has rolled out 5G sites to North Grove – Buffalo Pound, La Ronge, Red Earth Cree Nation, plus 50 more cell sites that serve rural and Indigenous communities.

“The expansion of SaskTel’s 5G network is paving the way for further growth in Saskatchewan, allowing families, businesses, and communities to connect faster and more reliably than ever before,” said Dustin Duncan, the minister responsible for SaskTel.
