Residents of Cochrane were invited to participate in a discussion with Kelli Steele-Stranton of WMC Management Services LTD on Saturday March 23 to share their thoughts on a variety of key issues about a strategic plan the town is developing.
Steele-Stanton said that unlike some other companies who work on projects like this she prefers a face to face meeting instead of online surveys as she garners more information from the voices of people, and, she has come a long way to talk to those in town. Steele-Stanton is part of the company’s Alberta Team. She specializes in Indigenous services, strategic advisory, people services, healthcare, resilience and recovery services and funding strategies and grant writing services.
Last year, the town and the Economic Development Board both issued RFPs “for the development of a strategy for municipal council and one for the economic development board.” It became apparent that they should combine the RFP since the scope of the plan was similar.
In September, they engaged the company to support the development of their plan to “create meaningful and inclusive strategies for the collective growth and success of the Town.”
