Wholesale trade, August 2016
Wholesale sales advanced 0.8% to $56.8 billion in August, a fifth consecutive gain. Five of the seven subsectors, representing 80% of total wholesale sales, reported increases. The miscellaneous subsector and machinery, equipment and supplies subsector contributed the most to the rise.
Large urban transit, August 2016
Total operating revenues (excluding subsidies) for 10 of Canada’s largest urban transit systems rose 2.0% year over year to $272.9 million in August.
Natural gas transmission, storage and distribution, August 2016
Natural gas transmission pipelines received 533.6 million gigajoules of natural gas from fields, gathering systems and gas plants in August. Of the seven provinces that recorded receipts, Alberta (71.8%) and British Columbia (24.9%) received the majority.
Production and value of ranch-raised pelts, 2015
There were 3.3 million ranch-raised fur pelts in 2015, compared with 3.4 million pelts in 2014.
