Industrial product and raw materials price indexes, September 2016
The Industrial Product Price Index rose 0.4% in September, led by higher prices for energy and petroleum products, as well as motorized and recreational vehicles. The Raw Materials Price Index edged down 0.1%, as lower prices for animals and animal products were largely offset by higher prices for crude energy products.
Couriers and Messengers Services Price Index, September 2016
The Couriers and Messengers Services Price Index (CMSPI) declined 0.4% in September. This was the first decrease since April 2016. The couriers component fell 0.6%, while the local messengers and local delivery component was unchanged.
Food services and drinking places, August 2016
Total sales in the food services and drinking places subsector declined 1.1% to $5.4 billion in August, following a record sales level in July. Sales in August were at the second-highest level on record.
Energy consumption by the manufacturing sector, 2015
The manufacturing sector consumed 2 090 petajoules as part of the production process in 2015, down 2.4% from 2014.
