New Housing Price Index, September 2016

The New Housing Price Index (NHPI) rose 0.2% in September compared with the previous month. Prices rose in 11 census metropolitan areas (CMAs), with the indexes from the combined region of Toronto and Oshawa and from Vancouver contributing the most to the monthly increase.

Traveller Accommodation Services Price Index, third quarter 2016

The Traveller Accommodation Services Price Index (TASPI) increased 11.4% in the third quarter compared with the previous quarter. The growth was the result of gains among both leisure clients (+13.6%) and business clients (+9.1%). The increase reflected high seasonal demand for accommodation services, which has also been observed in previous years.

Prostitution offences in Canada: Statistical trends, 2014

Police services reported 1,073 prostitution-related incidents in 2014, accounting for less than 0.1% of all police-reported criminal incidents that year. This translated into a rate of 3 prostitution-related incidents per 100,000 population in Canada, the lowest rate since 1982. Prostitution-related crimes have been declining over the past three decades, coinciding with a period in which overall police-reported crime has also declined.
