The total monthly value of building permits in Canada declined 1.5% in July to $11.7 billion.

Securities statistics, second quarter 2023
Canadian governments and corporations borrowed a net $80.0 billion of funds in the form of debt securities in the second quarter, the ninth consecutive quarter in which new issuances exceeded retirements. The financing activity in the second quarter was led by the government sector.
Farm Product Price Index, June 2023
The Farm Product Price Index declined 10.7% in June compared with June 2022. This was the fifth consecutive month of year-over-year declines, following over two and a half years of increases. The monthly decrease in June 2023 was the result of lower prices for most crop commodities, which outweighed the price gains for some livestock and animal products.
