Canadian international merchandise trade, September 2023
In September, Canada’s merchandise exports increased 2.7%, while imports rose 1.0%. As a result, Canada’s merchandise trade surplus widened from $949 million in August to $2.0 billion in September.
Canadian international trade in services, September 2023
Canada’s monthly international trade in services deficit was essentially unchanged from August to September at $1.6 billion. Overall, exports of services edged up 0.1% to $15.0 billion, while imports of services remained at $16.6 billion.
Retail Commodity Survey, August 2023
Monthly data from the Retail Commodity Survey are now available for August. The survey collects detailed information about retail commodity sales in Canada to produce estimates of the distribution of sales of various commodities at the national level.

Today, Statistics Canada is releasing two new historical data tables on interprovincial migration by mother tongue and by first official language spoken.
