Canadian international merchandise trade, July 2024
In July, Canada’s merchandise imports decreased 1.7%, while exports fell 0.4%. Consequently, Canada’s merchandise trade balance with the world moved from a revised deficit of $179 million in June to a surplus of $684 million in July.
Canadian international merchandise trade by industry for all countries, July 2024
Today, Statistics Canada has released a new table featuring Canadian international merchandise trade data by industry for all countries for the period from January 2002 to July 2024.
Canadian international trade in services, July 2024
Canada’s monthly international trade in services deficit widened from $1.5 billion in June to $1.6 billion in July. Overall, imports of services were up 0.6% to $18.4 billion, while exports of services were essentially unchanged, at $16.8 billion.
