As each year draws to a close, it’s customary to look back on the people and events that made the headlines over the past 12 months — some because of their accomplishments, others because of their failures.
Here, in that tradition and in no particular order, is my 16th annual list of the top 10 winners and losers from the Toronto area, around Ontario and across Canada.
As usual some big names and events failed to make the list, either for space reasons or because the competition was too tough to make the grade.
