Press Release

September 19, 2024

TNDC is pleased to announce the hiring of Angela Adsit as Interim Director of Corporate Culture.

Angela, a proud Tahltan, has served as her family representative on the Tahltan Central Government board and has held executive roles in for-profit and not-for-profit Indigenous organizations. With a background in both worlds, she advocates integrating societies holistically, incorporating local Indigenous values. Angela, an adjunct professor, designs culturally aware curricula on Indigenous entrepreneurship and community/business development for universities.

In her new role Angela will be tasked, among other things, to lead the newly created TNDC Joint Personnel Committee (JPC), a new initiative designed to enhance communication and collaboration between employees and management. This committee will play a crucial role in addressing workplace issues and ensuring that all voices are heard and respected.

“As TNDC grows, it is imperative that we innovate our communication strategies to truly listen to and engage our employees. Following the recent AGA meeting, our CEO Todd den Engelsen attentively heeded the feedback from our staff and membership, leading to proactive steps.

“The hiring of Angela Adsit and the launch of the TNDC Joint Personnel Committee (JPC) signifies a significant step towards fostering enhanced communication and collaboration between our workforce and leadership, ensuring that every voice is not only heard but also valued and respected.” Riannon Ball, Chair, TNDC.

“We are thrilled to introduce Angela Adsit and the TNDC Joint Personnel Committee (JPC), a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering effective communication and cooperation between our dedicated workforce and leadership. Under Angela’s capable leadership, this committee will be instrumental in addressing workplace challenges and upholding a culture where every employee feels appreciated and represented and Tahltan culture is better reflected.” Todd den Engelsen, CEO, TNDC.

The JPC will serve as a vital link between employees and management, focusing on improving the workplace environment, resolving conflicts, and integrating Tahltan culture into our decision-making processes. Our goal is to build trust, foster mutual understanding, and drive positive change throughout our organization by working together.

The details of the committee and its roll out will be communicated in the next couple of days.
