With a little over two weeks left on the clock before he formally cedes his title to his still-to-be-chosen successor, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is booked in for a mid-morning appearance alongside Transport Minister Anita Anand in Montreal, where he’s expected to “announce plans (for a) high-speed rail line from Toronto to Quebec City,” according to the Toronto Star.
“The federal government has deliberated for months about the new rail project, after it received bids from three private groups that applied to partner with a new Crown corporation to build the line,” the paper notes.
