After convening a rare closed-door session with his opposition counterparts on his whirlwind visit to Palm Springs for a dinner with incoming U.S. president Donald Trump yesterday morning, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will likely be quizzed about the trip when he joins his fellow Liberals at the weekly caucus meeting this morning. (10 a.m.)
According to his itinerary, he’ll also make the rounds at a midday reception to “celebrate the outstanding achievements of Canada’s Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic athletes” before taking his front-and-centre seat in the House of Commons for question period.
