CAMSC Business Achievement Awards “Crystal Celebration” Shines a Light on the Economic Growth in Aboriginal and Minority-Owned Business Communities Over the Past 15 Years
2019 finalists announced
TORONTO, ONT. – August 20th, 2019 – The Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC) will be celebrating the perseverance of its suppliers and corporations over the past 15 years, to promote the benefits of supplier diversity and the role it plays in advancing the economies of Aboriginal and minority-owned businesses. On Thursday, September 26 at The Liberty Grand, the “Crystal Celebration” will shine a light on the many successes made since CAMSC’s inception in 2004. Seven awards will be given to recipients who have demonstrated excellence in areas such as business growth, innovation, collaboration and advocacy. A special President’s Award will also be presented for the first time. Hosted by CP24 reporter and anchor, Brandon Gonez, the event will be attended by approximately 400 of the country’s leading corporations and supplier organizations. With over $5 billion spent by corporations on CAMSC-certified suppliers to date, the evening’s presenters and award recipients will share their inspirational stories and reiterate why supplier diversity is a ‘must do’ in business.
“We are looking forward to welcoming almost 400 guests this year for a milestone event,” says Cassandra Dorrington, President and CEO, CAMSC. “While we look forward to shining a spotlight on our 2019 winners, we will also be celebrating the last 15 years of collaboration, innovation and momentum that have brought SD to the forefront of Canadian business.”
