Community Interest at Renewable Energy Employment Sessions

Last week, Mi’gmawei Mawiomi Business Corporation (MMBC) hosted a series of community employment information sessions across Gespe’gewa’gi, bringing together industry partners and community members to learn more about employment opportunities available this year.

The sessions were held in Gespeg, Gesgapegiag, and Listuguj, and featured representatives from Mi’gmawei Mawiomi Business Corporation, Borea Construction, and Innergex.

Subcontractors also joined the discussions, including Arno in Gesgapegiag and RPF in Listuguj.

Each session created space for open, practical conversations about on-site work, training pathways, and what community members can expect when working on renewable energy projects in our territory. These in-person discussions helped connect community members directly with employers and clarified the roles currently available.

While the sessions have wrapped up, sign-ups remain open.

Community members who were unable to attend are still encouraged to get involved. The list of current employment opportunities for this year is available on our website and will be updated as projects move forward.
