What’s on the agenda for the House and Senate committees today.
Senior representatives of major industry lobby groups, including Food, Health & Consumer Products of Canada, Fruit and Vegetable Growers of Canada and Association des producteurs maraîchers du Québec, will update AGRICULTURE AND AGRI-FOOD MEMBERS on the rollout of the Grocery Sector Code of Conduct, with current federal adjudicator Karen Proud also expected to provide her perspective. Elsewhere on the committee circuit, Unifor national president Lana Payne, Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association CEO Brian Kingston, Canadian SHIELD Institute director Vass Bednar, Linamar CEO Linda Hasenfratz and trade lawyer Barry Appleton will share their thoughts on the looming renegotiation of the Canada – U.S. — Mexico trade deal during a panel discussion with INTERNATIONAL TRADE members.
