Iqaluit man makes competitive Inuktitut quiz using app – CBC

An Iqaluit man has used the free QuizUp app to make an Inuktitut language test that allows people to not only practise their language skills but compete with each other.

Isaac Demeester has lived in Iqaluit for six years. He and his wife have been studying Inuktitut but he says they found that resources with which to practise can be hard to come by.

“We tried different methods, flashcards and different things like that with varied success but for the purposes of our studies we decided to use QuizUp as a platform for learning,” Demeester said.

“You can make quizzes about any interest or hobby that you have and then put them up for the public to use them.”

Demeester said using the app to quiz family and friends on Inuktitut was so much fun he decided to make it public and has since released a beginner and advanced quiz.
