LNG CANADA FLARING NOTIFICATION (#20260813)

For awareness, LNG Canada has submitted a notice via eSubmission regarding unplanned flaring resulting from an upset of Train 2 Unit 2000 during the rate reduction. The eSubmission tracking number is 20260813.  Notifications are currently being shared with Haisla Nation, the District of Kitimat (DoK), the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine (RDKS), and through Voyent Alert and social media channels.

The Train 2 Unit 2000 upset occurred yesterday, with flaring starting at 18:03 and ended at 22:20. The flaring event lasted approximately 4 hours. During this period, the flare height was approximately 15 meters.

These flaring operations are being conducted in compliance with the Liquefied Natural Gas Facility Regulation under the Energy Resources Activity Act. All required safety plans and approvals are in place.
